Mentoring Initiatives

Two of the District's mentoring programs, welcome MENTORS & VOLUNTEERS for the 2019-2020 school year. Mentors for either of these initiatives must be at least 21 years of age and willing to undergo a background check. Each program meets once a month (on a Tuesday) at Fairfield Central and Fairfield Middle School and has at least one-weekend event per month.

MALE MENTORS NEEDED:  The Griffin Bow Tie Club mentoring initiative is an exciting opportunity for partnership between members of the local community and young men in grades 7 -12 centered around the 5 Wells of Leadership: Well-Read, Well-Spoken, Well-Traveled, Well-Dressed and Well-Balanced. Mentoring is an awesome opportunity for you to share your personal experiences, wisdom and insight and make a positive impact in the life of a child. Paper applications (at the District Office) and electronic applications (see link below) are available.

ELITE LADIES OF FCSD:  The Elite Ladies of Fairfield County School District is a service and social mentoring initiative for young ladies in grades 7 - 12 who are willing to dedicate themselves to a life of love and service through encouragement, personal development and enrichment opportunities using the Seven S's for Success.  In addition to meeting once a month at Fairfield Central High School and Fairfield Middle School, there are five auxiliary groups that Elite Ladies can participate in: TORCH Spoken Word Group, Elite Ladies ROCK! Leadership Program, Elite Ladies Step Team, Elite Ladies Special Events, and FC Diamond Elite Dance Team. Lastly, there are community service events and field trips on at least one (1) Saturday per month. The application deadline for Elite Ladies Mentors is September 6th.
