Career Fair In Reverse

High school students from across the Midlands will show their stuff at a “job fair in reverse” on Friday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dutch Square Center on Bush River Road in Columbia.
Employers are invited to meet with students from nine area school districts who will use booths and displays to demonstrate their job readiness at the second annual Midlands Regional Career Fair sponsored by the Midlands Education & Business Alliance. The students will come from high school programs preparing them for careers in a wide range of endeavors, from advanced manufacturing, construction and automotive trades to
healthcare, information technology and office automation.
“The Midlands Regional Career Fair is an ideal setting to scout workforce talent and a great
alternative to companies that traditionally hold their own job fairs or send recruiters to larger
events. Attend this event and see what these promising young people have been learning and
what they can bring to your enterprise,” said Lisa Call, Regional Career Specialist & Senior
Director, Education & Business Engagement, at MEBA.
